Did You Hear About My Friend's Grandson Remembering Me?

After the game, Archie Brown's wife and he waited to speak to Zack. They caught him near the fence and Archie told him he had had a letter from his grandfather. Archie was surprised that he remembered meeting Arch when he was a little boy. He had come to church with his grandfather and they went into Archie's office. Zack recalled seeing some of Archie's special baseball cards and memorabilia. Archie can’t wait to tell his grandfather.

Did You Hear About The Nice Outing for My Friend's Grandson?

In the ninth inning, the visiting team scored a run on a double followed by a sharp single. That made the score 8-4. To try to stop the rally, the Toros’ manager brought in Archie Brow's friend’s grandson. He got a ground ball out and a pop up to third for two quick outs. The third batter got a hit, putting runners on first and third. Zack got the last out by getting the batter to fly out to right field. The Toros did not score in the bottom of the ninth, but Archie got to see his friend’s grandson have a nice outing.

Archie Brown's friend’s grandson is a relief pitcher. He plays the outfield some, but he was not in the line up last night when Archie's wife and he went to see the Bay Area Toros play. The team got beat 8-4, but it was a pleasant night, not too hot, and it reminded Arch of days gone by when he watched a lot of local baseball. He had a good time.

Archie Brown's friend wrote a real live letter in an envelope that was delivered by the postman, to tell me that his grandson is playing on the Bay Area Toros. That is a baseball team in a new independent league, based in the city in which Archie lives. He wanted Archie to go see the team and watch his grandson. Some requests are easy to fulfill!

Archie Brown received a letter from an old friend yesterday. He had moved from Archie's hometown about ten years earlier. He is now 86 and not seeing too well, but he is still active. Arch used to play golf with him occasionally. He would aggravate Archie because Archie could hit the ball much farther than he, but was seldom able to beat him, because he hit it where he wanted to hit it.

Did You Hear About LIAT?

Archie Brown was recently on a trip to Dominica with sixteen other folks. They flew on LIAT for part of their trip. The group had a total of 18 bags checked in, but when they arrived on a Friday evening, not one of their bags made it with them. The luggage finally got to them on Monday morning. It is a good this the group was instructed to take at least one complete change of clothes in their carry on bags!

I could hear the nightengale sing
and feel a gentle spring breeze blow.
Our relationship was now more than a fling.

the level of emotions had made a big jump.

The doctor's eyes had a glint
as he said, "this one makes it a quint".
I wanted to give my wife a little peck,
but was overcome at the news, and fell to the deck.
When I was recovered I put on a glove
and without any urging, I didn't need a shove,
I held all my babies at once, a new art.
I listened to hear each little heart,
and came aware that mine had begun to pound.
I am going to have to have my feet on the ground
if I am going to have five little ones surround
me with laughs and songs and other sweet sound.
