Last Friday Archie Brown's wife called to let him know she had just bought gasoline for $3.14. That is about fiftten cents less than they had seen it the previous day. But later in that day Archie bought gas for $2.99. Now, one week later, he paid $2.69 per gallon. That is a significant drop, but not nearly as much as the drop in the cost of crude oil. The big companies are not passing along the savings as fast as they did the increases earlier in the year!
Archie is shocked!
