Hanna makes it hard to compete!

Watching the winter weather through the window,
or the effects it causes, like folks slipping & sliding
as they try to walk, instead of donning skates & gliding.
The sky is overcast, there is hardly a shadow,
It makes my mood sour and sad, like a widow
who watches the snow as it is silently falling,
hoping that somoeone will soon come calling.
She had true love, but now wishes for more.

Such gloominess only adds to the pressure
and keeps sweetness and hope from peeking
their heads out of the murkiness, seeking
for skies that are blue and blossoms of yellow.
She needs more of what the preacher is selling,
"love and peace and rest" he keeps yelling.
There is better ahead, don't give up on the morrow,
Can you hear him, the Lord's at your door!
